In the dance hall Zurich, great care was taken to create a comfortable atmosphere in the building using natural light. The contrast between light and shade adds a dynamic element to every room. Thanks to careful planning, the dance hall has magnificent views of the surrounding area, providing visitors with dramatic views of the cityscape and the Limmat river through the façade windows and the skylights.
Plant based sun protection plays an important role in the harnessing of daylight, as do the trapezoidal windows and the fixed shading of the skylights, which were specially designed for this project.
