Lighting design as part of the first floor refurbishment and upgrading of public areas
Artificial lighting design
Scope of work: Concept up to and including commissioning
Architect: Cristuzzi Architektur AG
Timeline: 2024
As part of the first floor refurbishment and upgrading of the public areas such as corridors, café and administration, we were able to take over the lighting design at the Viva care home in Altstätten.
The entrance area and corridors were designed with inviting, pleasant light. Attractive surface-mounted luminaires and indirect light lines in the reception furniture enhance the atmosphere of these areas and provide sufficient light for orientation. The central café area is highlighted by a specially designed wooden ceiling. Round pendant luminaires create a warm and relaxing atmosphere that invites visitors to linger. The separately dimmable proportions of direct and indirect light make it possible to react individually; this area can be used as a café but also for lectures and other purposes. Magnetic tracks are used in the administrative areas. Spotlights, lens profiles and diffuse inserts can thus respond appropriately to different situations and ensure good illumination.
