The lighting concept for the GABI office building in Schaan, Liechtenstein, emphasizes the contrast between the atmospheric lounge and breakout areas located in the building’s core, featuring four daylight-filled atriums, and the functional office spaces arranged in the outer ring. The concept highlights and reinforces the building’s architectural layout, making its spatial structure clearly recognizable.
Pendant luminaires within the atriums guide the eye through all levels of the building during the day, while in the evening they transform into luminous sculptures through the illumination of the vertical vegetation and the reflections on the surrounding glass surfaces. In the central lounge area, numerous low-glare spotlights create a calm and intimate atmosphere while allowing for the targeted accentuation of individual spaces. The office areas are illuminated with low-glare downlights and flexible floor lamps, providing functional and user-oriented lighting tailored to the needs of the workplace.
