Artificial lighting design
Scope of work: Concept up to and including commissioning
Architect: Ilmer Thies Architekten
Timeline: 2019-2021
During the renovation of the office building on Bärengasse in Zurich, the old building structures were retained and the office space was renovated as a tenant fit-out. The architects and the tenant wanted to find a uniform design language across all floors, which was also reflected in the luminaires and the lighting atmosphere. Together with the architects, a project luminaire was developed that is used in the corridors, common areas and open-plan offices. The material of the luminaires is acrylic with oversized prisms, which characterize the design of the luminaires, but at the same time ensure the glare limitation required for office workplaces. In addition to the functional lighting, this also creates an atmosphere with a welcoming quality.
