”A (love-hate) relationship”
Great care was taken to create a comfortable atmosphere inside the building using natural light. The contrast between light and shade add a dynamic element to every room. Thanks to careful planning, the dance hall has magnificent views of the surrounding area, providing visitors with dramatic views of the cityscape and the Limmat river through both the façade windows and the skylights.
Plant-based sun protection plays an important role in the use of daylight, as do the trapezoidal windows and the fixed shading of the skylights, which were specially designed for this project.
